Disaster Supplies: Your disaster supply kit should include a 3-7 day supply of water, non-perishable food, medications, flashlights, radio, batteries and other necessary items for each person.  See the Ormond Heritage Condominium Emergency Disaster Plan and the Volusia County  Disaster Preparedness Guide for additional guidance.
To calculate the amount of water and food, consider the following.  You need 1 - 2 gallons of potable water per day per person.  Store water for non potable uses in clean tubs of other suitable containers.  Plan for three meals per day per person.  Pets need food and water (one half to one gallon per day per pet).  Here are some tips to help you cope with a disaster:
